Biography:

Nigel Cameron grew up in Belfast, Northern Ireland, where he has been a Civil Servant for around 25 years. Music is his first love (he sings and plays drums/percussion and Irish whistles) and although not formerly trained he has directed worship teams for the ‘Focusfest’ events (with Geraldine Latty) in Belfast (2001 to 2007); has also brought his Celtic influenced worship to conferences with AIM in Tanzania, Africa; Willow Creek Church, Chicago; Elmbrook Church, Milwaukee; ECM Biennual conferences in Spain and also to a worship gathering in Kalisz, Poland, With the folk group Slemish he has taken Irish music and ministry to Spain, France, Switzerland, Portugal, Germany and concerts throughout Ireland, where he has also been involved in numerous worship events including 'the Mandate' and 'Inside Out' mens bible conferences. Nigel is a worship leader, musician and songwriter in his own church, Strandtown Baptist, where he now works part-time as music co-ordinator and regularly also uses his photography to express the ‘sense of wonder’ he experiences through nature - causing him to acknowledge and worship his amazing 'Creator God': His DVD 'Creation Calm' released in 2007, captures the essence of his passion for Creator focussed worship, blending photography and music in a creative way, but he is most excited about his first solo worship CD 'Sunrise to Sunset', released April 2013, which showcases 12 of his best songs in a variety of musical styles, and includes a guest vocal from Joanne Hogg (Iona) on the song 'Creator God' (a song which was also featured on Kingsway's 'Heart of Worship (Vol 10)'.
