Born, raised in Queens, New York, Libra Bey developed an interest in music in the early 80's with influence from Reggae, Jazz, Hip hop and club music. Abstract began DJing in the early 80's DJing local house parties and late night park jams. Libra got involved with DJing full time _ an interest that propelled him to DJ along side some of the best DJs in the dance music industry such as Julius the mad thinker, Monna (3degrees), Alex (3degrees), FLX and others. Hitting the turntables and producing full time, Abstract also worked at a respected New York music label "MAXI RECORDS" as an intern.
