Rodrigo Machado was born in Campinas (Brazil) but was raised in Sao Paulo until moving to Sydney (AU) in 2004. Before moving to Australia Rod had lived in London, Kassel, Macao, and Dunedin, always bringing a bass guitar by his side, performing, teaching or simply working in his craft striving to be the best player he can be.
Starting his bass studies as a teen, Rod had lessons with some of greatests Brazilian players/tutors. As a performer he has worked with Sao Destilados, Luciana Schievano, Brasileiro Soul and Via Brasil (Macao based show band).
In Australia Rod has been working with the great singer/songwriter Amanda Baker, Latin/Reggae act Nativosoul, Walking in the Shadows (FleetwoodMac Tribute Show) and "Corazon" a tribute band for the great guitar player Carlos Santana.
