Biography:

Since 2004 Devanic stands for Melodic Death Metal made in Austria – mulifarious, catchy and blasting!
In 2004 Devanic released the promo "Mask Installed" which was the first sign of life and the resonance from media was astonishing.
Many concerts followed - with bands like Morbid Angel, Dismember, Sodom, Satanic Slaughter, Ensiferum, Hatesphere, Unleashed, Lord Belial, God Dethroned, Edenbridge, ...
2006 Devanic released the Album "Mask Industries" which was a real melodic death jewel and made the band popular in the underground worldwide, but is still without a label (!!!).
Now the band has a new line-up and is working on new song-material and on getting on stage asap!
So... keep it Metal - stay Devanic!

Press:

“A band that has a killer sound and does really extreme music but with the best kind of song development !!!”
Music Extreme

“... derartig lupenreinen Melodic-Death hat man aus dem Land der Elche schon seit Jahren nicht mehr gehört.”
Alf - Metalspheres Fanzine

“Top-notch death metal that's sure to be popping up much more on the radar once word gets around. ”
Wayfaerer - HARM.US/666METAL.COM

“I think Austria will be put even further on the map of metal offerings with Devanic representing it! Grab it and play it loud! Great CD!”
Metalcoven

“Austria's Devanic prove themselves to be one of the most promising unsigned Gothenburg influenced acts in the world with this highly impressive recording.”
EF - Carange Inc.

“The energy of these songs is vivid and because of the various melody changes you can go wild, bang your head or tap your feet... Reinventing a music style is nothing negative when it's done this way. A high-quality product!!!”
Brutalism

“Devanic’s MASK INSTALLED gets better and better with each successive listen... definitely see a lot of promise for these Austrian metal bastards, as they definitely possess the talent to stand alongside the next generation of Melodic Death metallers.”
MetalGeorge - Metal Rules

“Die österreichischen Underground-Hopefuls haben mit ihrem ersten Full-Length-Album einen wahren Quantensprung hingelegt. Da können sich sogar In Flames noch was abgucken.”
Robert Pöpperl-Berenda - RockHard

“The performances are dead-on and the precision in the band's execution is highly impressive... Devanic have shown with this release to be an outstanding ensemble that is capable of providing a new twist on the style... this is a release that is more than deserving of your attention.”
EF - The Gauntlet

“This album really holds my attention and makes me want to see how this band will continue to evolve...”
Terrørrgåsm - DarkSoul VII Metal Radio

“Mask Installed is easily one of the best demo/promos I've heard recently. You'll find at least one riff on each song that just gets your head banging at full speed.”
Wayfaerer - HARM.US/666METAL.COM

“Excellent Melodic Death Metal from Austria is what we have here... Devanic have a handle on both the modern and old school way of thinking, combining a heavy sensibility with a rich, folk-inspired sense of melody.”
MetalGeorge - Metal Rules

“If I had my own record company I can assure you that I would give them a call... DEVANIC can be called a Melodic Death Metal without any questions. They have melodies, Death Metal vocals and downtuned parts where they sound really Deathish.”
Arve - Metal Observer

“Je öfter man sich Devanic zu Gemüte führt, umso mehr wird man sie schätzen – und das, obwohl man doch wie gesagt aus dem Stand heraus zu begeistern weiß. Die erwähnenswerten Passagen sind viel zu zahlreich, um sie einzeln aufzuzählen ... Die Jungs machen ihre Sache einfach verdammt gut!”
Daniel Spielmann - Evilized.de

“Mostly I have become tired of melodic goteberg death metal but Devanic do it suitably. Catchy but still semi-heavy and atmospheric.”
Canadian Assault Zine

“Es ist einfach ein unvergleichliches Erlebnis, wenn man eine völlig belanglos erscheinende CD missmutig in die heimische Anlage manövriert und schon bei den ersten Klängen des Tonträgers mit weit heruntergeklappter Kinnlade geradezu an die Wand geblasen wird.”
Der Pohl - Vampster.com
