Royal Brown is Austen Brown. Born in Dallas, Texas, raised in Washington, DC, Austen has been recording music since 1998. Starting in Dallas with the hip hop trio Kind Beats, then singing with the Polyphonic Spree, and playing keys for Sweet Lee Morrow. Austen next found himself fronting a psi-funk band, Jaberwok, touring in England.
