Beauty...Brilliance...Artistry...Power! Dr. Angela Celeste May always knew that she wanted to sing and was destined to make it her career. At about age 8 she decided she would also be a doctor of some kind. Since she was raised to believe that she could do anything, she naturally assumed she could do both. Dr. May became a professional musician at age 12 playing the flute with her siblings, and a professional vocalist at age 16. With her mom as her accompanist they booked weddings, receptions, and more. Her life also includes being a vocal coach, music/film producer, film director, arranger, instrumentalist, multiple business owner, model, educator, writer, dancer, world traveler, consultant, public speaker as well as a loving daughter, sister, wife, and mommy to my cat, Malcolm, aunt to loving doggies, and a world treveler. She received the ACE Woman of the Year Award and the Distinguished Alumni Award in 2004 from Marygrove College, was a consultant for the Artist Empowerment Coalition (NY), and former music faculty at Marygrove College. My Bachelor’s Degree is in Voice Performance, she participated in international & regional voice and flute competitions and toured internationally as a soloist with the Marygrove Chamber Singers. Having taught private voice since her senior year of college, she continued doing so under her company, Celeste Productions, Inc, when she founded it in 2004. Currently she also plays violin and viola with the Violin Divas and served on the advisory board for the Detroit Youth Concert Choir (DYC) for many years. Angela released her first album of original songs, titled, NO LIMITS and an accompanying music video for the song, THIS IS ME which she also produced and co-directed in 2007, and made her New York debut at Ashford and Simpson's Sugar Bar in 2008 with the band she formed after NO LIMITS was released. In 2010 she created, produced, and hosted a televised, streaming music /talk radio show highlighting the music and entrepreneurs of Detroit, then after being featured in the Michigan Women's Forum Magazine, she created a monthly column for that publication called: "Phenomenal Michigan Woman". Dr. made her Carnegie Hall debut with the Madrigal Singers, released her sophomore CD of original music called, REINTRODUCING THE LADY with her No Limits Band, and appeared as herself with her band in the movie SOLOMON all in 2017. In 2019 Dr. May served as a judge for the Music Instrumental - Classical Competition at the NAACP's 41st Annual National Afro-Academic, Cultural, Technological and Scientific Olympics (ACT-SO). She produced and co-directed/ two videos from the second CD and was included as an honoree in the 2020 publication of WHO’S WHO IN BLACK DETROIT. She calls her musical style Urban Fusion: rocky, soulful, bluesy and jazzy, with a hip hop feel and “world” beats.
"Great Sounds Angela!"
Michael Henderson - Comment Sent To Dr. Angela's Reverbnation Website
“Fantastic full sounding voices! Wonderful voices, minimal instruments so vocals come out completely. Only drums, percussions and guitar, but the voices stand so strong they could even do without. The instruments are in the background but still very hearable, played very well, very jazzy. Nice.

AlexanderPort, Lier, Belgium - GarageBand.com review of the track "Who" from the album, "No Limits"
“Dr. May is delivering doses of phrases and knowledge…creativity, imagination as well as artistic vision… The project entitled "No Limits" will remove the limits you have in your mind by combining poetry, rawness and simplicity to create a work that has substance. You will be amazed.
