Amy began writing at the age of seven, after her grandpa showed her how to play silent night on the guitar. It was then that she realized chords actually accompanied songs and that if she knew how to play some chords, she could write her own music. After years of writing and learning to play the piano and guitar, she eventually joined the Nashville Songwriters Association International. It was here that she began to understand and learn the concepts behind writing a great song. Eventually, she made an album titled “Hot Summer Days”. This gave her the opportunity to open up for Mark Chesnut at a private event in Pasadena, TX, while attending Texas Chiropractic College. She also received radio play in Louisiana and abroad. Since then, she’s performed in the Colgate Country Showdown, had a clip of her song “H.U.G.” featured on the Next GAC Star show, had her song “H.U.G.” chosen as the theme song for a fundraising campaign for North York General Hospital in Toronto in which she’s performed for them, she’s had her songs in the top 10 of ourstage.com, and she’s been a semifinalist in the Independent Music World Series. She has been the Regional Coordinator of the NSAI in Lafayette, LA and currently, she is working with independant artist Kendall Levin and others.
