C.I. stands for continuously improving.
He is a self taught musician that creates pieces of music in order to get them out of his head. In 2002, C.I. started playing with audio software in his homeland of Chile. Baptized by his friends as ‘Kakolaktiko”, he follows a path of originality and experimentalism, using DUB, HIP HOP, CUMBIA, METAL AND TRANCE, creating a unique sound that makes him difficult to classify in a specific genre.
After a few of years of falling in love with DUBSTEP, where C.I. found an open field for his style and taste, he signed releases with Dubterranean Records, Drop Da Bomb Records (Scotland, UK), and collaborations with El Diablo on his album “Rollin with My Crew” that charted in the top 10 for several weeks on Juno.
C.I. draws inspiration from his heroes, Lee Scratch Perry, Miles Davis, Bill Laswell, Fantomas, ‘Old’ Metallica, Cenzi, 16bit, Datsik, and El Diablo who has played a very important role in supporting and encouraging his endeavor, providing him with new music to hear for inspiration, software to expand his capabilities, and advice to improve his sound.
