Biography:

As an in demand drumming artist/demonstrator and energetic live E-drummer with international Drum’n’Bass artist Netsky and his own “Michael Schack #sMashup” project (formerly SquarElectric), Belgian drummer/producer Michael Schack travels the world to perform on festival main stages, in concert venues, at international music events and drum festivals.
Through his performances in the US, Europe, Asia and Australia, he’s been making his name as one of the most powerful and appreciated solo performing E-Drummers and “AcouTronic” #Hybrid Drummers.
Since 2001, he’s been an instrument development consultant and contributing composer and sound designer to Roland Japan’s Electronic Percussion Department, and in such has been involved in the development of the latest TD-50 V-Drums, SPD-30, SPD-SX and TM-2 Trigger module.
Since 2013, Michael is also an affiliate instructor for drumeo.com, the most successful online drum lesson portal with its HQ based near Vancouver, Canada.
In November 2014, the internationally acclaimed Hospital Records and Loopmasters labels released Michael’s first and highly acclaimed Sample Pack, “Hybrid Beats Session”. In 2014 and 2015 he was elected “E-Drummer Of The Year” by readers of Digital Drummer Magazine and received the “All Time Favorite Drummer” Award for the Benelux countries in the 2015 Dutch Slagwerkkrant’s Readers Poll.
He’s an enthousiast Roland V-Drums, Tama Drums and Meinl Cymbals endorser, as well in the studio as on the live stage and also endorses Vic Firth drumsticks.
