Biography:

If you feel a rumble under your feet more likely than experiencing an earth tremor, it will be melodic hard rockers Crashgate taking their attention grabbing sound to new corners of hungry intent and power. With a highly successful 2014 under their belt, the Kent based quintet now has new climates and successes in their sight; fresh explorations to be engaged in as they voraciously drive towards the creation and 2016 planned release of their second album.

The band is certainly no stranger to acclaim and increasingly intensive support, even in the early days of 2011 when the band emerged they were creating a buzz with a sound taking potent inspiration from bands such as Nickelback, Guns N' Roses, and Black Stone Cherry. A few line-up changes came with those early times but once stability was found in personnel, Crashgate had already become a major part of their local rock scene. With a flair for aligning uncompromising riffs and dramatic rhythms to adventurous blends of melodic vocals and raw throat sculpted roars, all courted by an anthemic tenacity, the band was soon replicating their success and inescapable persuasion further afield, subsequently bursting in the national rock scene.

The release of the band’s first release, the “B.O.B” EP in 2012, sparked a new breath of intrigue and hunger for Crashgate’s increasingly potent sound, but it was with debut album “Crude Jokes, Death Notes & Unicorns” the following year where media attention was truly pricked into action. It was a keener spotlight upon them reinforced further by the band’s ferocious live presence which has seen then share stages with the likes of Feed The Rhino, Orestea, Malefice, Unearth, and Spirytus along the way. The release of the album led to the band gracing cover mounted CDs for Metal Hammer and Terrorizer magazines as well as garnering strong play and attention from online radio stations worldwide.

As much as the fascinating and creatively imposing sound which sets the band apart from a bustling British melodic rock scene, it is the passion of the band in all aspects and endeavours which has equally earned Crashgate a strong reputation. Add that to the fire breathing enterprise of guitarists Toby Dorman and Brian Andrews, the almost predatory talents of bassist Shaun Roche, the inventively honed swings of drummer Richard Keeler, and the mighty melodic bellow of vocalist Craig Sheridan, and you have the rigorously invigorating force that is Crashgate.

With some choice shows and festival appearances already scheduled for the year as the band write and create their next album, 2015 is sizing up to be another momentous adventure for the band.
