Faith In Exile is a melodic metal band originally formed in 2005. Hailing from the center of coal country in Pottsville, PA, the band’s sound has evolved over the past 7 plus years into the current formula of crushing metal compositions meshed with melodic sensibilities. In the process, the band has gained a large, loyal local and regional following. FIE has released 3 independent albums, the most recent in 2010 entitled “In Defiance of Suffering.” The quartet of vocalist (and former guitarist) Rob Allison, bassist Allen Buehner, guitarist Brandon Foti, and drummer Ron Gubala played steadily for over 2 years supporting the album throughout their home state and into neighboring areas. With the addition of guitarist Paul Trepal in late spring 2012, the new 5 piece FIE was solidified. Just 2 months into gigging with the new lineup, the band was selected to play the Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival for its Scranton, PA date in August 2012. The guys also made a trip to play for Jose Mangin from Sirius XM Liquid Metal at Dingbatz in Clifton, NJ in the same month and returned in November 2012. In early 2013, Faith In Exile began writing the follow up to “In Defiance of Suffering” with a late 2013 release anticipated.
"Hailing from the hard coal region of Pottsville, this band rocks as hard as the anthracite coal their home area is known for."
Shinbone Magazine
"George Bernard Shaw once wrote, “youth is wasted on the young.” In the case of Schuylkill County band, Faith In Exile, Mr. Shaw could not have been more wrong."
Sterling Koch - Pennsylvania Musician Magazine
"I am not a woman of faith, but indeed I have found a few bands in the area that I have faith may make it beyond the small Schuylkill County stages in the next few months and years as the talent develops, and Faith in Exile is one!"
