Internationally renowned bassist/composer Bruno Raberg's latest project is Garuda, a six-piece Indian/Jazz/World music blend, featuring the main drum of South India called the mridangam, fretless guitar, saxophone, violin percussion, acoustic and electric bass.
Our repertoire consists of my original compositions that draw from the Carnatic tradition, jazz, and fusion. The common thread throughout all my stylistic explorations is a heavy focus on improvisation. It is at the heart of musical development, and it is a focal point of Garuda.
