Born and raised in the blazing streets of Arizona Serge Dog is one of the freshest and realist rappers coming up in the industry today. Being Chicano and being raised in a border town Serge Dog grew to be very passionate about representing his “raza”. Since the age of thirteen he starting writing poems then eventually that lead him into creating his own music. .. Seeing how most people would try to label him like other Latin rappers before him Serge Dog focused on making his own style of music. Focusing on lyrics, catchy hooks, and everything that Hip-Hop use to be about is what Serge is trying to bring back to the game. “Hip-Hop is more than just music or a culture its life!” Serge Dog states when he’s asked what he thinks of Hip-Hop. .. Proud to be from Arizona “Grand Canyon State” and the Southwest Serge tries to bring his individuality to the game and still represent for his state. Serious about his music Serge expects for people to respect and appreciate him as a rapper/entertainer in the future. AZ has a mixture of all kinds of cultures and races which is something that most people in the U.S. don’t understand. This is one of the reasons Serge Dog can’t be labeled as another west coast or southern rapper, because he’s coming from the middle and he still mixes it with other styles... ..Almost every rapper has or is known by another nickname in the streets and Serge Dog likes to call himself the “Unexpected”. The reason behind this is because Serge says that when he first started getting known as a rapper most people would always be in shock or in awe. Not only because they didn’t expect him to be someone who would make music, but they didn’t expect him to have as much skill as he does.
