Sanctuary X is probably the 5th official incarnation of Mark Bishop's music.
He started writing lyrics in 1990, realizing that C&C Music Factory had made an entire album using samples of other people's music. NIN had released an album using samples from horror films, put together in ProTools. He promised himself that he would one day make an album this way.
In 1992, he hooked up with DJ Rage and also DJ Kwest and began programming music on computers.
Since that time, he has gone to Vancouver Film School for New Media and learned professional recording techniques and worked on teaching himself how to write songs. With new technology, his music has flourished incredibly and he has written some 220 songs in 5 years.
