This is my first acquaintance with Jones and man, believe me, this guy is a great singer. Findlay proves to be an excellent guitar player as well with his fantastic riffs and solo's. He is not only a good guitarist, but also a fantastic songwriter, because the songs are great compositions. The tracks are solid metal songs with a fantastic groove. In fact, No Sky Today is a very enjoyable album, which doesn't bore at all. The album was produced by Findlay, and sounds very good. NO SKY TODAY already started recording/ writing songs for their second album. Well, I'm looking forward to it, because I'm sure that will be a fantastic album as well, just like this one. “No Sky Today The founding members of this band are Wayne Findlay on guitars/keyboards and Paul Jones on Vocals. The first is known from the Michael Schenker group and Paul from the bands Robot Lords and Tokyo. With the Michael Schenker Group Wayne always played the second violin, but on this album he can show what he is capable of on guitar and keys. Another talent he shows is the ability to write good songs. I couldn't find a weak one on this album. The music is hard rock with a progressive touch, some modern influences and a little bit of metal vibe. Paul has a nice voice with a rough edge and he fits the style perfectly. Strong melodies go hand in hand with catchy choruses and good guitar solos. "Final Hour" has a nice bass line that carries the song. One of the songs I like the most is "Pieces", a song that has all the the elements in it; nice guitar riffs, melody, aggression and emotional vocals.A very nice record which offers a lot for everyone that is into the harder rock genre.”

Accompanied by a very effective rhythm section and very well chosen singer (Paul Jones of Robot Lords Of Tokyo), some attractive heavy rock music is presented. Sometimes this reminds you of Audioslave or Alice In Chains, but can also bring back memories of Ozzy’s ‘No More Tears’ period; driving massive riffs, containing the perfect balance between heavy and melodic, and a few suitable dissonant elements.
