Owen composes and produces music for TV, film and advertising soundtracks, as well as song writing. His work has been used in BBC TV's Seaside Rescue series and the long running Granada TV documentary 'Monkey Business'.

Owen began playing guitar at age 9 and performed in bands throughout his school years. In 1997 he earned a BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts at the College of North West London. In 2000 he achieved his first theatre score credit for The Beaufort Players' production 'The Pilgrim's Progress' winning an award from the local authority arts body.
In 2003 Owen trained in music production at Related Rhythm Studios in Sheffield (now Sheffield College of Music). Just one year later he joined ThinkMediaMusic and following his global success on TV and radio, signed a publishing and recording contract. He looks forward to even greater things including an entry into the computer games soundtrack market.
In January 2008 "The best of www.thinkmediamusic.com volume 3 Owen Wilkins" was released for download from the iTunes Music Store. Alongside this can be found volume 5 which comprises tracks co-written with regular collaborator Terry Eckersley.
