OGRE formed in 1999 when Ed joined forces with Ross and Will, and together they quickly wrote and recorded a 4-track demo cassette that garnered high praise in the underground metal and stonerrock community. In 2003, the band released its first full length, Dawn of the Proto-Man, which was named Album of The Year by Peacedogman.com and Top 5 Debut Albums of 2003 by Chris Barnes on Hellridemusic.com.
