Notlob Music presents the best local and touring roots, Americana, newgrass, traditional and contemporary folk, blues and Celtic artists in unique and unusual settings in the Boston, MA area. From June 2, 2007 to June 28, 2008, Notlob Parlor Concerts presented the best local and touring roots, Americana, newgrass, traditional and contemporary folk and blues artists at the historic Loring-Greenough House, 12 South Street, Jamaica Plain, MA. Built in 1760, the venue listed in the National Register of Historic Places and has been a historic house museum since 1926. Its beautiful period decor and intimate size made it an ideal setting for acoustic music. Over the course of 27 concerts, artists presented included Sometymes Why, Sharon Lewis, Rose Polenzani, Danielle Miraglia, Christina Thompson Lively, Geoff Bartley, Brian Webb, Dennis Brennan, The Rowan Brothers, Pat Wictor,, Jud Caswell, Bob Franke, Kristin Andreassen, Laura Cortese, Tristan Clarridge, The Lissa Schneckenburger Band, The Tornado Rider Band (Rushard Eggleston & Gabriel Cazes), Tripping Lily, Alastair Moock, ... The Fall 2008 and Winter 2009 concert seasons were presented at the beautiful Clarendon Hill Presbyterian Church, 155 Powder House Boulevard, Somerville, where Greg Greenway, John Flynn, David Massengill, Jack Hardy, Mary McCaslin & Geoff Bartley and the Sacred Shakers w/ Mark Brine, THE HANNEKE CASSEL BAND (Hanneke Cassel (fiddle) with Mia Friedman (cello) and Christopher Lewis (guitar)), w/ Fionnuala O'Donovan , Bob Franke and Martin Grosswendt have been presented.
In the Spring the series moved to the Park Avenue Congregational church, where the Folk Arts Quartet and Broken Blossoms were presented.
