  With a CD project due for release next month, Steve & Vangie Benchek are proud to bring their new band, The Cover Story News to the fabulous Roxy Theatre to play upstairs On The Rox. This local Santa Barbara band, formed in August 2011, prefer to go genre-less, mixing it up with everything from original & classic rock to R&B, indie-pop to alternative blues, beatnik jazz to surf-punk. All together they are an eclectic group of musicians of diverse backgrounds and taste in music, even with a couple of them returning to music after a long hiatus – one consistent underlying theme persists, the chemistry works. This LA show will feature music by songwriters, Kim Schmitt & Phillip Tirman, and joined by Chicago Blues guitarist, Joe Purpura round out the band performing on October 19th for On The Rox live. Located upstairs above the fabulous Roxy Theatre find the exclusive On The Rox lounge, 21 and over only. Doors open 8:30pm.
