Mysta J The Titan / Press

“When an artisan truly loves his craft even tragedy can become an inspiration. Such is the case with Mysta J The Titan, who’s promising career in Hip Hop was derailed in 2005 by a serious car accident. Not being able to perform live for a number of years tapped a reserve of creativity – resulting in over 100 new songs recorded. His perseverance paid off – and he roared back onto the scene with a strong new release titled After the Sabbatical. Originally from Chicago,IL. MJT has a well deserved reputation for a smooth delivery and witty lyrics – evident on songs like Boomin’ and Voluptuous. Drawing influence from such Hip Hop legends as Jay-Z, LL Cool J and 2 Pac, MJT has been writing and recording since age 11 and the years of experience packed into his young career are on full display on cuts such as I’m Good and Exciting. Inspirational jam admonishing people to rise above the superficial to get ahead in life. Good stuff here.”

“When you first hear the song, "Wrong or Right" cone in- there is a smooth sampling and you instantaneously get this feeling that you are about to hear this new jam by Jay-Z, or Nas. Then you hear the voice, and clearly you know it's not either. ( No pun on the artist's mentioned )The vocals are very distinctive - clear and crisp. Mysta J the Titan has a true east coast grit. He comes with a caliber sound, and balanced energy. The vocals create a fun experience that you will not want to deny. They compliment Mysta J the Titan's strong delivery. His delivery on every word and phrase hits just perfectly with the beat. Lyrically, Mysta J ranks among one of the best out. His clever use of metaphors and concept ties in well with his creative hooks. The way he flows with the use of these words makes you want to learn them and sing along with him. The beat for the song itself is very smooth and fits in well with what Mysta J is doing. All in all this song,"Wrong or Right" is solid”

Indie Up Live - Mysta J the Titan's Wrong Or Right ( Review )

“Mysta J what it do wo?? Okay we gotta it real with you. We liking the vibe of this record. It has a really good feel to it and we really like the verse sections. You went in on the track and we like the tone of your voice and the story telling vibe you get on. So the hook is cool and we like certain parts like the "I know what the lady's like, they tell me every night" but then you start rhyming too many of the same words together. Try switching it up and then end it with the last line you had "Damn it just feels so right". The production needs a little work in the hook, but it's on some almost original Kanye West when he first came out. Keep going in wo and we like what we hear. Peace!! Cool & Dre Ranking ( 1- 10 ) *8*”
