Moonshiner is a hard driving, Bluegrass influenced band based out of Boulder County. The band members hail from all over, from Virginia to California. This brings a different twist to Moonshiner's shows, mixing the traditions of Appalachian bluegrass/roots music with elements of whatever the band is in the mood to play.

Todd and Paul met years ago at the Wednesday night bluegrass pick in Nederland, CO and became quick friends with a mutual desire to play hard driving acoustic music.  Juri, a long time friend, formerly played with the nationally touring jamgrass band, Shanti Groove.  Jordan was the 2008 Rockygrass mandolin champ - his explosive presence on the mandolin proves why he earned a degree in music and bluegrass mandolin.  Watch out.  He might melt your face.  Mike makes the dobro sing and howl like it's got something living inside of it, and is currently defending the title of "nicest guy on the front range."
