The band "moonrise" from Hamburg, Germany, features the classic rock combination of guitar, bass, drums and vocals.

Their sound distinguishes moonrise refreshingly from all typical stereotypes. Stylistically they do not like to be nailed down: They play Gothic rock with a dose of wave. It is based on a foundation of demanding bass rhythms and pithy drums, which develop a perfect symbiosis of melancholy and power with the guitars and the atmospheric keyboards. This is complemented by baritone vocals which adeptly explore the emotional spectrum between catchy melodies and desperate cries.

The band has managed to draw the attention of rock fans by playing exclusively their own compositions. Presenting their songs in the German and English languages at concerts in Germany, moonrise has built a continuously expanding fan base.

The five musicians are not only focusing on moonrise, but also engage individually in other projects, e.g. as guest musicians for "Aurora Sutra" at WGT. Luxa Rosenburg also plays in the band "xtitans".
