Q: What is the electric string instrument?

A: That's a six string electric cello. It's made by Ned Steinberger in Maine. The middle four strings are the same as a standard cello. It also has a high E string and a low F string encompassing most of the range of the the string family! http://www.nedsteinberger.com/
