Join us to celebrate the release of Monique Barrett’s debut EP ‘Steps’ with an evening of music, dance, and community building! Monique has been a staple in Portland, Maine’s live music scene for nearly a decade and is thrilled to be releasing her first studio EP - a raw, emotional meditation on love, loss, and the healing power of hope. For the first time ever, she will be backed by a full band to perform her unique style of soul-folk music. Her voice has been described by a fan as one which “reaches deep into my core and pulls my heart out through my ears”. You can visit www.moniquebarrett.com to hear and learn more about Monique, and ‘like’ her facebook page at www.facebook.com/moniquebarrettmusic. A very limited number of VIP tickets will be available for this event. In addition to admission to the 8 pm EP release celebration, VIPs will also receive a signed copy of ‘Steps’ and are invited to a pre-show reception from 6 to 7, where they can rub elbows with the evening’s performers and snack on food provided by the YUM culinary program at Creative Trails and other delights from Mama Mo (Monique Barrett’s cooking alter-ego)’s Kitchen! There will be a showing of videos about the non-profits Hope Acts and Creative Trails AND Monique will share a few solo acoustic songs that didn’t make the set list for the main event!
