Inducted into The National BLUES HALL OF FAME as "Great Blues Musician" & named Blues Ambassador to San Francisco.

She started recording in 1961 at age 13 & retired from music in 1983. Recent popularity of her old recordings convinced her to return with a new, All Star CD "Life Goes On" in 2008.SHE IS NOW 63 YEARS OLD. Current picture above.

There aren't many wise old folks left to tell stories of past generations,of the legends that became the very core of our lives.This needs to be done with our music - our Blues - and if we are stuck at the Crossroads, all we will find is that same old, hungry devil, who is killing off all of our natural resources and destroying our precious wildlife . Blues IS a natural resource - and what it needs to stay alive is to keep on growing . It needs an influx of energy, passion, innovation and love, a commitment to not just imitate, but to initiate and take it to new levels.
Leave the roots and water the plant so that it can grow new branches.
