MOJO SWAGGER
Emcee , poet , songwriter , engineer , producer , student , soldier , street scholar , artist's artist... all are some the hats worn by up and coming mogul, Mojo Swagger . Born Elijah Lee , son of Richard Washington and Dawn Sherri Lee , Mojo came of age in the suburbs of Union County , New Jersey . With not many extracurricular activities to get into , Mojo began free styling ,working with words and beats , and practicing his cadence in hopes of crafting a blue ribbon flow and delivery . By the time Mojo hit puberty , he was already branded with the stamp of hip – hop and was considered a true thoroughbred. It would only be a matter of time before Mojo manually made attempts to move the crowd .
While still a teen , Mojo decided to continue crafting rhymes that blended his finely tuned sense of literacy and rhetoric with his vivid and colorful thugged out theatrics reflecting the harsh realities of his environment . Problems at home and a lack of guidance would send Mojo Swagger on his way to Atlanta, GA during the summer of 1994 . Only to discover more of the same problems and a greater lack of guidance upon arrival , Mojo clung to his music like never before , and maintained conditioning his musical talents .
Swagger and skill would come together as one at the change of the new millennium , when Mojo decided to make his favorite past time his occupation . Mojo then began booking studio time , performing at any and every artist showcase and studying the music industry . Through the networking process , Mojo began to realize the benefits of actually knowing the business before jumping in it , and continued conditioning and studying .
Mojo formed Heart of the Hood Entertainment & Music Group in 2002 . At that point in his plight , Mojo began balance managing a small independent funded record label and working as a songwriter and recording artist simultaneously . After recording a stock load material and packaging some product , Mojo began gaining a lot of recognition for his well put together mix tapes . He would then go on to ship his product to DJ's and magazines for guest appearances , article write – ups , and reviews , only to find out his music would be accepted and loved by people of all colors , shades , races and creeds all over the world . Mojo is currently working on projects internationally and planning a trip to Europe early 2007 .
