Jake Savona - aka Mista Savona - is an Australian producer, engineer, songwriter and keyboardist specialising in cutting edge new sounds that venture into electronica, hiphop, dancehall, world music and heavy roots reggae. Based for the most part in Melbourne, Australia, Mista Savona has travelled the world recording and producing in countries as varied as Jamaica, Mongolia, UK, Morocco and throughout Australia's Indigenous communities. His music is consistently original, exciting, futuristic and beautifully mixed, produced and packaged.

His most recent release, "Melbourne Meets Kingston", is a magnificent 21 track tour de force that sees the first ever album length collaboration between Jamaican and Australian musicians. Featuring reggae luminaries such as Anthony B, Big Youth, Determine, Lisa Dainjah and a host of upcoming artists, 'Melbourne Meets Kingston" has been described as “a landmark for Australian music – this is the first time an Australian producer has worked extensively with big-name Jamaican artists over a full-length album. As well as performing as a solo artist, Mista Savona has brought together an incredible 12 piece band, including a horn section, African dancers, Melbourne vocalist Vida Sunshyne (whose credits include work with Nitin Sawhney and Lionel Richie) and Zimbabwean DJ Dizzy Dee. These shows are by far the toughest and most exciting presentation of authentic, raw roots reggae and dancehall music in Australia. As well as performing at festivals around Australia, the Mista Savona group has toured Europe and performed at the renowned global music festival WOMAD in the UK. The group has also acted as the backing band for Jamaican legends Horace Andy and Luciano, to widespread critical acclaim.

Current projects include the debut album from Illzilla titled "Wasteland", and progress is well under way on the fourth Mista Savona studio album featuring some incredible artists including Sizzla, Capleton, Horace Andy (Massive Attack), Alton Ellis, Prince Allah, Jornick (French Guiana), Big Youth, Anthony B and more to be announced!
