Nelson Jara Dos Santos was born and raised in Brussels. In 1994, while living in his native Portugal, Nelson was taken to a Goa Gil party - his introduction to trance and a life turning point…in 1998, he began to DJ darker-style psychedelic music and and, a few years later, he began producing as Mind Distortion System.

In late 2007, Nelson celebrated 2 major “releases” - the arrival of son, Solaris on 14 October and the release of his debut full length album “He Claims to be Not Human,” on T...
