The name ringing bellz and stirring up buzz right now in the independent music realm is MC aka Microphone Criminal. Bustin’ thru the scene from Philadelphia no longer just a local sensation, MC has gain mass appeal for his unbelievable lyricism and his brand name “Mic Supremacy!! Records.” Successfully gathering a huge diverse fan base from all over the world Microphone Criminal’s music has received much attention including reaching #16 on the reverbnation.com hip/hop charts (out of over 36,000 artists) .
MC’s music roots trace back to the year 2000 when he began spittin bars with his high school homie “Supreme.” As a team they were called “2BAD,” and MC went by the name “Mad Crazy” attributing the name to the wild animated style that he used. However, by 2002 he dropped the “crazy” gimmick and name and just went by MC. There were 8 cassette releases from ’01-’05 (lol I know) but during that time MC molded his skills and became a unique and worthy contender in new school music.
In 2005 MC began going by the name “Microphone Criminal” and created the “Mic Supremacy!!” movement. Also during that time he started working in the studio on his first cd release. Since then, MC has gotten heavily into internet promotion which has connected him with fans and affiliates worldwide. Thru great exposure and classic music every album, mixtape, track, verse, hook and snippet has helped raise Microphone Criminal to “major level” status.
Microphone Criminal has exploded on Myspace, Facebook and Reverbnation along with many other sites. By 2009 he had released consecutive annual mixtapes and created the “’09 is MINE!!” campaign. During this campaign he prepares to release yet another mixtape plus the long awaited, highly anticipated debut album “The 1 and Only” by summer (and then another mixtape).
