Born in New York City, March 13, 1951. Masters Degree in Jazz from Queens College, NYC. Currently co-leads several performing ensembles including: Fonda/Stevens Group, Conference Call Quartet, Griffith/Stevens Quartet, In Transit Ensemble, Eastern Boundary Quartet, Southern Excursion Quartet, Stevens/Siegel/Ferguson Trio, Sorgen-Rust-Stevens Trio. Currently resides in Asheville, NC.
