Melanie Morgan was born and raised in a small coastal village of Cap-Pele, New Brunswick Canada. At the young age of 10 years old, Melanie had already discovered her passion for music, and was always eager to step into the spotlight. A few years went by and Melanie's love for singing and music just grew stronger by the minute. She became very much at ease and at home singing and relating to country music. With such idols as Carrie Underwood, Martina McBride, Amanda Wilkinson and Carolyn Dawn Johnson her goals were set high!

In the spring of 2006 Melanie's dreams of becoming a country music recording artist started to take shape. With the help of fellow New Brunswick country recording artist "J.R. Vautour" Melanie recorded her debut CD "Brand New Day” 

Melanie's debut CD is full of great music that not only she loves but can also relate too. Being a young adult and experiencing life on her own, love, heartbreak, all of these new experiences have made her more sensitive to the music she listens to and now the music that she records herself.

2007 has been an exciting year for Melanie. Her album Brand New Day received National Recognition from the East Coast Music Association for Country Recording of The Year. Melanie's second single "My Man” was granted a music video by CMT Canada and  became a top 40 record. Melanie was also one of the 8 artists to perform at the 2007 Canadian Country Music Awards during the New Artist Showcases in Regina SK.

2008 is shaping up to be a great year! Melanie will be working on some new material for her second album coming out early 2009.  Melanie will be in Nashville TN in March through May working with such songwriters and artists such as Jason Blaine, Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Noah Gordon, Victoria Banks , Lila McCann and from Big Tractor Publishings Wade Kirby and Monty Criswell who had the # 1 single on George Strait (I Saw God Today) .. The second album is already creating buzz and is being anticipated by Music Programmers and fans accross Canada!!
