Mebanesville / Press

“Greetings Larry! I just wanted to reach out and say THANK YOU for all of the amazing music you offered to the community yesterday. It was an absolute joy to watch, and Erin, the Market Manager, couldn't be more excited to see you all back in July! Youngsters, parents, and students alike all came up to me during and after the show to ask about your group and where they could hear more, so perhaps there will be some new fans next time :) Please extend my warmest of thanks to Anthony, Jane, Peggy, Steve, Iryna, and of course Jody, too, for all of their amazing work!”

"Many, many thanks for participating in our 6th Hometown Holiday Celebration. I did not get to the concert this year as I was taking tickets at the carriage rides. I heard many nice things about your music, performance and interaction with the kids! "Some first-time visitors from Orange County sent me an email saying how much they enjoyed the Celebration. This part of their email is relevant to you'all: 'We really enjoyed the fun music provided by the Mebanesville band. They had a great basket of instruments that the children were allowed to play along! They also did a wonderful job of entertaining the children in that wonderfully decorated huge room.' "Happy Holidays, Sandra Lunsford Chair, Hometown Holiday Celebration"

"Thanks so much Larry and it was great to see everyone yesterday. So glad you guys are in the area and playing a really earthy full range of Italian music. It's wonderful ... We were so glad to be able to coexist gracefully with all of you."

"June 16th Mebanesville The return of the Mebane's hardest-working collective, featuring acoustic music in innumerable languages for your enjoyment. Come ready to be educated while you're entertained."

“Care Vickie, Nicole and Larry I think that "e' andata alla grande!" I counted 53 heads halfway through the performance and we ended up with over 30 people almost one hour later. Considering that it's the first day after the Thanksgiving break and the finals are basically a week away, this is huge. More importantly, the students enjoyed the even bigger time, and they devoured the pizza! And the band is, simply, great. We have a musical treasure with Larry & his gang that other schools can only dream of. Congratulations for a job VERY well done. Avanti, Samuele”

"The band, Mebanesville, entertained the folks gathered Sunday for the groundbreaking celebration for Company Shops Market cooperative grocery."

"What a great night. it was so much fun. thanks for everyone who came out to support Mebanesville and Mebane Espress!"

"Hey, y'all, Good gig - I enjoyed it! The accordion brings in a really nice sound and depth. I thought you'd have a break before I left, but you were doing the Ol' Man River thing - just kept rolling along. See you soon. Mara"

"Thanks! Beautiful. Art, beauty, charity, hope and freedom to you :)"

"... you may want to take a trip to the Raffaldini Vineyards in Ronda, NC on Saturday December 4th for the Italian Holiday program. Our own Larry Vellani and his group, Mebanesville, will be providing entertainment for this event. It should be a fun time."

"You were all WONDERFUL! Thank you ALL! Your friend and neighbor, Alice"

"Dear Larry, I know you and Joe (and Paul) played a huge part in making Palmer Day a success. Your support of the Charlotte Hawkins Brown Museum at Historic Palmer Memorial Institute is greatly appreciated. I thank you very much. Being able to watch and listen to such talented musicians was a joy! The toe-tapping that was going on in the audience was also fun to watch. Thank you for helping us--I look forward to doing business with all of you in the near future!"

"We greatly enjoyed having Mebanesville. It was a huge hit. Folks have told me they are going to go on line to find out where you are playing next. Everyone mentioned it to me. People liked the international flavor to it, and your band members had a lot of nice things to say about your leadership. It was a wonderful evening. Someone actually got tears in her eyes when she told me what a great time she had had. Does not get better than that. Thank you.
