About
The National Defense Fund is an independent music project conceived, written, performed, engineered, produced, and mastered in a small house on a dead-end street of the Historic Kirkwood neighborhood of Atlanta, GA. by musician, songwriter and producer Max Forstater
Max has been writing and performing music for 15 years as a vocalist, bassist, and guitarist. Concerned by the sorry state of rock and roll in mainstream USA, The National Defense Fund was created as a haven for independent meaningful songwriting, sponsored by nothing and brought to you by the artist.
With his love for the late 70s and early 80s New Wave, Punk and Pop, the NDF draws influence from such great acts as Elvis Costello and The Attractions, The Jam, Joe Jackson, and The Clash and fuses them into a polished set with addictive hooks, pop sensibilities, and an observational storytelling style.
