| The Legendary MASTER Signs With Pulverised Records! | | |

It is our greatest pleasure to welcome one of the pioneering and oldest bands in Death Metal history onto our roster: the legendary MASTER!!!
States A&R Manager Calvin: "MASTER was and is still truly an influential band and I would daringly assumed that a lot of the early Extreme Metal bands were somehow influenced by MASTER, but was probably never open and admitted widely. Paul Speckmann was really enthusiatic to join the Pulverised family and furthermore, very easy to work with. There were so many things that we have discussed and were definitely on the same page, so an album deal was struck in no time. We hope that with our support on the upcoming new album, it will be MASTER's most devastating and crushing album yet!"
Comments Paul Speckmann: “It's an honor and a pleasure to be signing with a real label like Pulverised Records. I really feel like this label will believe in MASTER like a label should. It's really been difficult to find a label that is willing to dedicate itself to a band like MASTER who incidentally has been surviving the underground since 1983. I certainly have confidence in Pulverised Records and hopefully we can bring the band along to the next level. Forget all the cheap imitators, there is only one MASTER consisting of Speckmann, Nejezchleba and Pradlovsky, so be forewarned. The soon to be recorded new CD will be as brutal as its predecessor. Look for speed, intensity and as always objective lyrical content. For myself, I certainly live through my music, it is certainly my muse. ”
Speckmann and co. .. are set to commence work on the new material for a full-length album in August and the new album should be completed at the end of 2009. More details and announcements will be made.
MASTER.. will kick off their tour on 5th of June 2009 with 2 shows in Germany before proceeding for a 21-date American tour starting on 8th of July 2009 onwards.

As one of the most influential bands in the history of the underground, Chicago's Master has influenced a generation of metal acts worldwide. For well over a decade, band leader Paul Speckmann has assaulted the metal world with his many projects including Abomination, Deathstrike, Funeral Bitch and of course, Master. Initially formed in late 1983, Master first saw the inside of a recording studio in the summer of '85 when they recorded an album's worth of material to shop to various US labels. Although offered a deal with Combat, internal problems and poor management decisions caused the deal to fall apart, leaving them dealess and disillusioned. Subsequently they spent the next few years working with different projects, until late '89 when a recommendation from Mitch Harris of Napalm Death led to a deal with Germany's Nuclear Blast. With seven releases through Nuclear Blast, of which three were produced by Scott Burns (Deicide, Cannibal Corpse), Master has endured all trends and remained pure. Bountiful praise from fans and contemporaries (including guest appearances on record from members of Death and Obituary) has given them true legendary status. They have toured extensively in the US and Europe with overwhelming success supporting such acts as Sepultura, Unleashed, Paradise Lost, and many others. Dozens of the world's leading metal publications including Metal Maniacs, Pit, Rock Hard and Metal Hammer have repeatedly featured them in their pages. To Master, this music is much more than just a passing phase. As Paul said in an interview with the Chicago Tribune, "It's about life, death, politics, personal experience. The world is violent and angry, and death metal is a way to express yourself." Armed with a new lineup and a new label, Speckmann and Co. are ready to reclaim their position in the extreme metal pantheon.
