With an old-time voice that echoes the mountains, Martha Burns sings southern ballads, cowboy songs, comic ditties, turn-of-the-century heart-throbbers, and whatever else strikes her fancy. She’s been playing and singing American folk music since the early 1960s growing up in New York’s Greenwich Village.
