A native of SC, Malita was raised in a family of musicians and showed an interest in singing at an early age. While she never pursued her vocal talents as a youth, she spent 6 years playing the flute in a concert band and expressing her creativity through poetry. It wasn't until adulthood that she realized her true passion for singing and songwriting. With her husband as her music engineer, co-producer, and #1 fan, Malita has created songs that reveal a mature woman's perspective on love and life. In 2007, she decided to further her music education through piano lessons and more recently to self-produce and distribute an album that will be released in 2010.
