"From Within", by Luminis, is an angelic, haunting and beautiful disc to listen to. "Into My Sin", the first track off this this disc and the first I have ever heard is still my personal favorite. However, after the first listen, "Falling Away From Me", captured my attention immediately and I had to listen to it again. The disc ends with "The Other Side of the Mirror" and the final lyric says, "Don't forget us!" I am going to say that I will not forget and I am looking forward to more music from Luminis! If heaven had a house band, Luminis would be that band!

“NJ unsigned female fronted metal band Luminis has announced the release of their first single "Into My Sin." Listen to it on their MySpace page. "It's been a long time coming," states vocalist Tara Ortiz, "The song was written in late 2009 and performed live several times by the band. However, it wasn't until Tara and drummer, Steve, decided to team up as the sole writers of Luminis's music, that the final song came to fruition. Into My Sin was mixed this week and released to the public by way of their official website, MySpace, Facebook, and Reverbnation, last night." "We hope that this will give our fans an idea of what our original music will encompass. And we have several other tracks in the works with the intention of releasing a full length CD sometime next year." "Right now, Luminis is just Tara and Steve, writing and recording for their album. Live musicians will be hired when it comes time to play live. We're planning our first show back to be in February, at Wicked Faire.”
