In the early 70's, during the beginnings of what became known as the "Jesus Movement," a group of young, longhaired, "hippie" musicians called LOVE SONG began to use their music to express their newfound faith in Jesus Christ. A mixture of rock and pop, LOVE SONG's music was entirely new and unique for the Christian music world.

“I will never forget the day when some hippies walked into Calvary Chapel, announced that they were musicians, and asked me if they could share their music at a Monday night Bible study for the youth. They played a demo number for me, the song entitled, "Welcome Back." It was so beautiful I began to weep. When they played that night, their music had the same dynamic effect on the crowd of young people as it had on me. God used them in a vital way in the great revival that the press called "The Jesus Movement".”
