Liquid Sun is DJ Sunborn (Kyriakos Christoforou). Entered in the world of music in 1979, when I bought my first guitar. In 1982 made my first group playing rock music and in the next seven years I join several local bands without any signified success.
Start working as a dj in 1985 on a summer vacation at the Greek islands and the same winter continued in a rock club in Athens. Next years I continued working as a dj, musician and sound engineer and at the same time learned to play bass, percussion and a lot of traditional acoustic instruments. In the summer of 1990 i was the first Greek DJ who played Goa music, from some tapes which were brought from Goa, in the island of Naxos, by Teo (now owner of Disco Valley Records). In 1991 stopped working and started traveling around the world. Arriving in Goa for the first time at February 1993, I was influenced by the new psychedelic revolution. Returning to Greece, where the situation had just started to explode by a core of 150-200 people, who were organizing parties in the mountains. I started to collect a lot of music and soon began to play in small outdoor parties. Next year bought my first DAT and went back to India and Thailand where I played for the first time out of Greece. From 1996 to 1998 spend my time as a traveler DJ mainly to India,Thailand and Greece and after went to Switzerland where I played for the first time in Europe. In 1999 bought a computer and some equipment and started to work on my own music, although I spend a lot of time in learning anything about computers in general. In 2003 played my music at the after party of Samothraki Dance Festival and a few months later my first track,
"The other side of morning" was released by Pagoda Records under the name "Liquid Sun".
From April 2004 to December 2007, I was a member of Harmonia Records. Now I live in Thessaloniki, work on my own music, looking for new places to play as a DJ and sign a contract with a good psychedelic label !
