About
Beginning at a young age, music has enchanted Leo. It began with playing in bands during high school years, and studying classical guitar lessons at The National Greek Music Academy. At 17, Leo formed his own group and appeared alongside with known bands in Greece . That, also, was the year he began to write his own songs. Leo also studied piano and music theory before embarking on tours in various clubs in Athens and other Greek cities. Next, Leo experimented with jazz, salsa, playing piano, bass, while performing with Rasta de Combre, and later with Apurimac on occasions. Beginning in the early 90’s, Leo played in Architektoniki, a rock club in Athens , where he met the Katsimiha Brothers and toured with them for two years where his talents were shown in one of their albums. After that, Leo sang in Stavros tou Notou Club in Athens , and then at Ellopia in Cyprus . He has collaborated with many famous/known Greek artists. In 1998, Leo recorded his first album, To Skotadi Kaigetai, (Darkness Is Burning), then two years later his second album was released, Mia Thalassa Pou Agriepse, (A Stormy Sea) in Greece . Now, a new era has begun for Leo. Two upcoming albums/CDs will be released, in the very near future, throughout Europe and the USA on the LeoD Music label. Leo: "I am excited about the new music projects that are being produced. Each melody and word written in the songs makes me feel as if I'm sharing my soul and inner feelings. The way that I write and sing, I try to touch each listener so that they can relate with the music. And, I also feel that, whoever hears the songs and listens closely, they can share with me the love of music and the feelings that I myself find in each word that, has been written."
