"The music: Singer-songwriter piano rock with classical influence and stolen jazz licks. Webpage: www.lennyrevell.com and www.myspace.com/lennyrevellband. Sounds like: I've got a lot of Elton John and Billy Joel going on in my writing. Also, a little bit of Ben Folds' sense of humor, without getting too wacky or offensive. I have some deep spiritual aspects that are reminiscent of Tori Amos, but more contemporary/commercial sounding, I guess. Favorite keyboard songs: "Mandolin Rain" by Bruce Hornsby. This is one of those rare songs where I actually like the verse better than the chorus. "Funeral for a Friend/Love Lies Bleeding" by Elton John. When it comes to piano rock, this is even more kick-ass than "Great Balls of Fire". Newest project: A new album's worth of songs.
