Lauren J is a lover of music, who singing/writing in a mix of musical genres; no matter what the style, her songs come straight from the heart, “I like to write from personal experience or at least from honest thought. I want my stories to encourage others.”
Lauren took piano lessons when she was younger, but nowadays she mostly plays by ear. I find it is easy to put music to my own songs if I can hear it with the piano, the way it sounds in my head. It is very therapeutic for me to tinkle on the piano, to just play and sing my heart out, especially when no one is looking.
