Four guys, no gimmicks, just rock.

About

"Joe Doyel is likely the best "unsigned' rock vocalist I've heard in a very long time. The kid has the pipes and the band can flat out play. The Last Good Year are climbing their way to success the old fashioned way - by being a real rock band - writing, recording, and touring the country." - Soundwerkz.com (Featured Unsigned Artist)

Signed contract to feature 3 songs available for downlaod on the video game "Rock Band" (Road To Ruin, Racecar Driver, and Lipstick Cigarette) - September 2009

Finalist in Alternative Addiction's "The Next Big Thing" - August 2009

Hard Rock Cafe "Ambassadors of Rock" Top 5 Finalist - May 2009 (Over 150 bands in 22 cities were narrowed down to 5 by industry experts like head judge Little Steven Van Zandt of the E Street Band, Planet Rock DJ Nicky Horne, Live Nation Vice President of Promotions Toby Leighton-Pope, SPIN Magazine editor Doug Brod and more)

Nominated for "Best Local Group" and "Best Rock Band" by Nuvo, the leading Indianapolis Entertainment magazine. Visit www.nuvo.net for more information. - May 2009

Recent winners of Hard Rock Cafe Indianapolis "Ambassadors of Rock" -April 2009

SXSW Red Gorilla Showcase Artist -March 2009

"The Last Good Year's execution of their swaggering rock and roll in the live setting belies how long they've actually been doing it together." Wade Coggeshall - Nuvo

"To me, The Last Good Year is one of the best new acts, that will probably out last most of the rest of bands, strictly because they've got the goods.  These guys are the real deal, they're not faking it, and there's not a bunch of machines doing their work for them. I, personally, like what they do and the way they do it.  If you're not a fan, it's because you've never seen them. As far as new bands go, I highly recommend them!!!" Jon E. Gee - Bass Player for John Mellencamp/ Ted Nugent

The Don Stuck Band, fronted by X103 morning disc jockey Stuck, has shared the stage with The Last Good Year multiple times. "Our fans love them," Stuck says. "I think those damn guys have stolen some of our fans, as a matter of fact. They're that good."

“This album is a mix of incredible instrumental work, polished vocals, and pure genius from the production…” exclaimed Ricky Potts, of IndyConcerts.com, when describing the debut album from Indianapolis based rock band, The Last Good Year (TLGY).

Being crowned the winners of the 2007 “Indy Music Scene Battle of the Bands” and taking home $10K, after only a short time of playing together as TLGY, was one of the many accomplishments that lead to the release of The Last Good Year’s self titled debut album. Spending most of 2007 developing their fan-base, The Last Good Year quickly became an Indianapolis favorite.

Kicking off 2008 with a bang, TLGY opened up for Island/Def Jam recording artist Jon McLaughlin and hasn’t stopped since. Along with McLaughlin, TLGY has shared the stage with Saliva (Island), The Elms (Universal) and American Bang (Epic); just a few among a power list of names. After a solid year of shows around the Midwest and beyond, 2008 proved to be a productive year for The Last Good Year

The words “I wanna be something other than me”, a lyric from their popular release Racecar Driver, ring true for this hot, up and coming rock band. They desire to be something more than just run-of-the-mill. You won’t find any gimmicks, just four guys playing rock ‘n’ roll.

“The only true rock ‘n’ roll feel you can find from a modern day band. Every song will stick with you. It’s bands like this that can bring back the true passion of rock and appreciation for musical talent.” (iTunes review).

The Last Good Year continues to play across the Midwest and will expand nation-wide in 2009. This band will captivate you. You will be singing their songs as if you’ve heard them many times before.

“It’s definitely an audience-friendly feel, the sort of arena rock that defined several generations of concertgoers…” (Paul Pogue, Nuvo.net)
