“For one week only the ever popular Tuesday night blues at Milkwood Jam was moved to a Friday and with good reason. Larry Miller had previously stormed the Swansea stage last year and the venue was keen to invite him back. It was a night of explosive blues. Many within the audience recognised a star turn. “Another big crowd for one of the blues rock circuits favourite. Larry Miller turned up with Storm Warning’s Ian Salisbury (Keys) Derek White (bass) and Simon Baker (drums). After stealing the show at last year’s Cambridge Rock Festival this was always going to be a much anticipated gig and showman Larry didn't let us down. Kicking off with ‘Rebecca’ and ‘Missy Mango’, followed up with ‘Sinking Sand’ and ‘All Your Love’ this was blistering blues rock at its very best. A couple of Rory Gallagher numbers, ‘Messing With The Kid’ featuring some superb guitar/keyboard interplaying and a twice attempted ‘Walk On Hot Coals’ and finishing with ‘Back Stabber Blues’. Slowing down only once for ‘Calling All The Angels’ which showed another side of Larry's playing this was a superb entertaining gig. Encoring with ‘Took A Bullet’ and ‘Man On A Mission’, yet another gig was over to soon. ”

The opening track ‘Shame On You’ starts with a solo guitar riff as if played through a small speaker but wait for it! Out of nowhere comes the band and full on guitar announcing in musical terms this is Larry Miller. This first track is a Strat infused rocker. There’s no let up on the second track ‘Writing’s On The Wall’, apart for the solo guitar and vocal intro. Another foot stompin’ blues rocker but this number steps up the game, with some impressive lead guitar. This is a well made album of great blues rocking with versatility. Larry Miller has a good band behind him and the addition of keyboards and harmonica embellishes the songs.
