About
Lara was born on the wrong side of the George Washington Bridge, in Hoboken, NJ, but escaped to New York at the tender age of 1, so it can certainly be said that she's a New Yorker.
She began 'singing' at the age of 3 when she realized she could imitate the cries of seagulls on Jones Beach. Picking up piano at 6 and voice lessons at 12, she soon became happily immersed in the musical world. That world was limited to the classics for a while and it was only towards the end of high school that Lara joined the Jazz Band and began writing songs.
A student at the Gallatin School of NYU, Lara is a member of the New York Singer/Songwriter Sessions and is happy to be sharing her songs with people far and wide!
