Brooklyn-based singer/songwriter Lara Ewen sets the lyrical focus of classic storytelling against an acoustic backdrop rooted in alternative country, folk and Americana music. Her songs feature fluid guitar melodies and frank yet intimate vocals that travel the roads between destinations, and live in the spaces between people.

Lara’s first full-length album, ‘Ghosts and Gasoline,’ came out in spring 2007, following the success of her 2002 ‘Clear’ EP, a raw, bare-bones acoustic release which remains one of CD Baby’s top-selling folk albums in the “Like Ani” category.

Following the ‘Ghosts and Gasoline’ release, Lara toured select markets in the United States and supported the CD with radio promotion through Planetary Group. Her songs have been added to playlists at over 150 AAA and college stations.

Lara is currently working on her next release, due out in 2009.
