Frog Stand Records is an artist-friendly, artist-run label that emerged out of the heart of Brooklyn, New York. The label was built around a community of musicians in the New York area who take part in productions that span from dirty rock clubs and French cafe's in central Brooklyn, to Broadway Musicals. Clare & the Reasons, the debut release of Frog Stand, includes the label's figure-head and founder, Clare Muldaur Manchon, and her artistic counter-part and husband, Olivier Manchon. Clare's 'reasons' also contribute to other projects including Sufjan Stevens' orchestral performance of "BQE" at Brooklyn Academy of Music, My Brightest Diamond, Jens Lekman's tours, and various performances and recordings with The National.

Clare & the Reasons debut LP, "The Movie," is turning heads all over the globe, and will be touring heavily in the European Festival circuit, as well as across the U.S. for the remainder of 2008. Meanwhile, the label is gearing up for some very exciting 2008 releases to add to the Frog Stand family.
