Dustin Largent is the founding pastor of New Life Bible Church.  He was born and raised in Peoria, IL.  It wasn't until Dustin was fourteen that he heard about Jesus from a fellow cross country runner and decided that he wanted to live his life for Jesus. 

     After graduation, Dustin attended Wheaton College in Wheaton, IL where he continued to run cross country and track, specializing in the 3000 meter steeplechase.  During his college years, he served as the Chaplain of Camp Manitoqua in Frankfort, IL (a south chicago suburb).  He would later direct the camping ministry at Inspiration Hills in Inwood, IA.  In 1996, Dustin accepted a position as the High School Bible Teacher at Westlake Christian Academy in Zion, IL.  However, God was leading Dustin to become and pastor and in 1997 he moved to Edmonds, WA where he served as a youth pastor and associate pastor.  Dustin was ordained in the Conservative Baptist Church and later earned his seminary degree from Trinity Theological Seminary in Newburgh, IN.

      In August of 2006, Dustin began laying the groundwork for New Life Bible Church, leading the first service on Easter Sunday (April 18, 2007). 

      Dustin and Julie have been married since 2001.  They have a dog named "Pookie", however due to the unfortunated name Dustin gave the dog, Dustin will not be allowed to name any children they may have.  Some claim that Dustin loves the dog more than he loves some people.  This claim has been confirmed by Dustin.

      Dustin used to ride a motorcycle, but Julie feels more comfortable having Dustin ride on four wheels.  Dustin roots for the Seahawks and the Chicago Cubs.
