M.C. K~Swift (New Rap Order/Universal Zulu Nation) is a 28 year-old Hip-Hop artist and educator, who has been recording and performing since 1994. He's taped for Def Poetry Jam. A founding member of the progressive Hip-Hop collective, New Rap Order, and a member of the Universal Zulu Nation, M.C. K~Swift is among both the vanguard and the old guard of True School Hip-Hop Culture.

Reppin' from NYC's Lower East Side by way of Brownsville, Brooklyn: K~Swift is an emcee.
Starting at age 12 ('93-'94) he wrote and recorded songs with the Cherokee Chiefs (producers for Master Fuol, Buddha Monk, and many others) as part of the rap group Creed until 1997. Those guys taught him a little about beat making too. A writer determined to make a strong mark on the face of English literacy, M.C. K~Swift coordinated programs and mentored teens at Urban Word NYC. He also trains educators on bringing Hip-Hop Culture, creative writing and performance into their classrooms.
As a founding member of the progressive Hip-Hop collective, New Rap Order, and a member of the Universal Zulu Nation, M.C. K~Swift is among both the vanguard and the old guard of True School Hip-Hop Culture. He currently tours as an emcee for the legendary DJ Afrika Bambataa, the GodFather of Hip-Hop. His debut solo-recording, "No Plaque, No Problem, - The EP" was released on NRO Records in May 2006. With an electrifying stage presence, M.C. K~Swift is sure to leave crowds fulfilled. His live show is more than a performance, it is a cultural engagement.
