“16 performances and up to 25 local artists took over Avenue Theatre, located at 90th Street and 118th Avenue, for the cause. Performers included Kryple and Trippz, Rellik and Brothers Grim. Many who took to the stage say they participate because it's rewarding to help out the neighbourhood while also shining a positive light on their craft. "Hip Hop is dying in this community, there is no real future for it," argued artist John Richard, a.k.a. Kryple.”

“For the third year running, Hip Hop on the Avenue will provide a free, all-ages hip hop show on one condition — anyone planning to attend the show must bring a toy for 630 CHED's Santas Anonymous. Last year, the show collected 550 pounds of food for the Edmonton Food Bank and Goyette hopes to see the same kind of response this year. And the aim is to collect about 200 toys. The show takes place Dec. 27 at the Avenue Theatre on 90 Street and 118 Avenue. There will be 16 performances with up to 25 local artists including Kryple and Trippz, Rellik, and Brothers Grim among others. Doors open at noon. ”
